The Transgender Advancement Project (TAP) is a trans-focused initiative aimed at accelerating tolerance, acceptance, and protection for gender-diverse individuals through rigorous research and strategic communications. TAP believes that transforming a community requires changing hearts and minds to shift societal attitudes and behaviors in Uganda and, more broadly, in Africa. This transformation necessitates a deeper understanding of the critical issues facing our country and fostering mutual comprehension among its people.
